Are carpets more expensive than tile flooring?

There are two different ways to cover your floors. You can choose to cover it with carpets or you can cover it with different tiles. Carpets are being used to cover the floors for many centuries. The tile covering is however becoming popular these days. Both these types of floor coverings have their pros and cons. You can choose the best amongst them.

Carpet covering is considered a more common and easy way to cover the floor. To cover your floor with carpets all you would have to do is buy a piece of carpet and fit it on the floor. You can take help whiling fitting a carpet to your room. However, tile flooring is a bit complicated. You have to pick excellent and sophisticated pieces of tiles for your floor. These tiles cannot be of an ordinary quality or design.

Using a carpet floor can be expensive as compared to tile flooring. For a tile covering you may need to buy tiles only once. Once you have put the tiles all you would have to do is clean it with water daily. For this, different kinds of detergents and chemicals are available. These floors are very easy to maintain. On the other hand, carpets are very easily damaged and get dirty quite a lot. Much of your expense is spent on its wear and tear. You may even have to buy a new carpet after every two or three years. In addition to this there is a possibility that the carpets may not be cleaned completely. No matter how hard you try some dust particulars are still left on its surface. Carpets can therefore be regarded as an expensive floor covering.
